But I thought a paint job was in order.In fact, one day I suddenly found myself really really wanting to paint it and nothing could be done to stop me!It was about 9:30 pm on a Saturday night and this.
It was such a great, quick project to do because I really only had to paint part of it to get the look I wanted.. Bam!What an update right?
I left the top as stained wood and just painted out the bottom parts.
I would really like to strip the top and restain it in something a little less reddish, but I’m feeling like harsh chemical strippers are probably a bit of a no-no right now with the baby on the way.I feel better now, don’t you?
Whether it’s taken a whole year or not, that’s progress!We have a whole collection of old saws in our garage.Actually we had more last year, but I think Chris may have “de-cluttered” some of them.. I’ve been eyeing them up for the last year, secretly thinking I could steal them and use them inside in some kind of rustic, tool-inspired decorating extravaganza.
Never did though.. Then.I saw an image, which I now can’t find, in the last issue of the Pottery Barn catalogue.
